This is one of the coolest flowers I’ve seen in some time.
This is a farm and pasture next to Topsmead State Forest in Litchfield, Connecticut.
Topsmead State Forest is an estate that was left to Connecticut back in 1972. I has a beautifully kept cottage, sprawling lawns and several trails. Admission is free and is well worth a visit.
This abandoned train car appears to be left to rot. I saw it from a road and it was clearly asking to have it’s photo taken.

These blossoms come and go very quickly every spring. There’s almost no time to enjoy them.

Here is our Chocolate Point Himalayan kitten when she was about 11 weeks old.
This was a giant flag at the Eastern States Exposition, which was hanging from the ladders of two fire engines.
